Emma is studying how to improve our ability to ``breed’’ microbiomes for their effects on plants. She is interested in the effects of sourcing microbes from environments matching and not matching the environment of selection and on the diversity of microbiome sources. Emma is also interested in the role of mVOCs in plant-microbiome interactions and in shaping plant and microbial responses to plant invasions.
